2025 Application Stats
With the launch of our 2025/26 application, a wider range of undergraduate students were eligible to apply to become PES Scholars. The criteria was expanded to include undergraduate students pursuing a degree that falls under any of the IEEE designated fields of interest. The goal of this expansion was to increase the amount of students interested in a career in power and energy and to fund the education of these future engineers to bolster the future of the industry’s workforce.
During our 2025 application period, we received 561 applications, a 300% increase from our previous year. The review committee is currently evaluating the applications, with the 2025/26 class of PES scholars expecting to be announced by end of summer. Scholarship recipients will be notified via email.
